The Somerset Wine District is situated approximately 1 ¼ hours drive north west of Brisbane. The wineries we visit are situated in the picturesque valley surrounding the quaint country town of Kilcoy.

Our pickup points are the Sunshine Coast and Caboolture. For groups of eight or more we can pick up from Brisbane.

We start our ride in Kilcoy were we have a chance to look at the town and enjoy morning tea. We then head off into the Kilcoy valley following the meandering Kilcoy creek to our first winery, Hunting Lodge Estate Winery. If time permits our hosts will give us a full tour of the winery to explain how they make the wine. We will also get to enjoy a hearty lunch.

From there we ride two our second winery Nirvana Estate Wines, a boutique winery with a very relaxed setting. After trying a few of the local wines it’s on our bikes and on to our third winery, Winya Wines. Winya wines have been making wines for many years but have only recently opened their Cellar Door so it’s a new experience for all.

After we leave Winya Wines you have the option riding on down the valley or loading the bikes and visiting one or two more wineries in the district that are a little to far to ride to. Then we bus it back to our pick up points.
